WHAT HAPPENED?
Argentina faced Chile in their second game of the Copa America and won 1-0, thanks to Martinez's 88th-minute winner. After the game, Messi admitted that he played with "discomfort", and he could now be rested against Peru after Argentina secured safe passage into the knockout rounds, having won both of their opening two games.

Roccuzzo has been present at both Argentina games thus far, also watching on as the reigning world champions beat Canada 2-0 in their opener. Now, manager Lionel Scaloni is likely to rotate against Peru. As such, Messi may well be on the bench for the final game of the group to keep him fresh for the knockout rounds.

Argentina face Peru on Sunday. There is some danger to come with that game, as Peru are still mathematically in with a shout of qualification to the knockout stage, although they would need to win.
